The north-east expansion felt save for a long time, but recently [CSM] exploratory forces cleared ways into the Cerberus Void so the south of this area is now in the hands of the [CSM] military.
CredSec fortifying
Following the latest attacks, CredSec is now fortifying their structures and stations throughout the sector, promising to keep their workers and affiliates save. This includes significant raise in security measures in form of weapon and surveillance technology.
[USNE] Tech News
[USNE] MilTec specialists explore the possibilities to reinvent the classical battleship as battlegroup support vessel. While the old ships are nowhere near as efficient in the modern era wars, they could pack a punch. Newly developed Hull plating by Brave Interstellar may be the answer to such ambitions, since it could drop the weight component for these types of ships by a significant factor, allowing for more manoeuvrable battleships, which can focus on maximum armaments creating essentially a sort of ultra heavy destroyer. We look forward to seeing more regarding these exciting developments. As sad as it may sound, war has, for the most part, really driven humanity to become the best it could be in regards to scientific and technological advances. We just hope it means we are getting an edge in the often-declared hopeless struggle against the endless armies of [CSM].
An operator’s surprise
A secret espionage and intelligence mission beyond the SDF within enemy territory turned out to be more rewarding then initially anticipated. Brace ya balls everyone, and I am sorry for getting all streetz with ya, but baby, baby we might get coffee again in the upcoming future. Our operators from the Shiguen Empire were able to secure documentation on extensive research on coffee and its DNA strains. There was also dried residue of an ACTUALL FUCKIN COFFEEPLANT… I shit you not. Our experts claimed these samples might be enough to make us able to regrow coffee in the future. Our insiders at the Shigueni headquarters heard whispers of someone tipping the operators off, there4 might be something worthwhile in the area. Neues Deutsches Reich
New Germania hitting it on the way to the SDF. We heard some rumours and speculation, but it is now confirmed that New Germania officially changed their name to “Neues Deutsches Reich” [NDR] – A name that was suggested after their standard language was changed to German a few years back. Current leader, Großreichskanzler Friedrich von Sieverlingen followed this announcement with a statement about two capital fleets which are currently on their way to support the SDF-Alliance, the [NDR] is officially joining the SDF-Alliance with their own military, the “Sektorwehr”. The SW`s 1st capital fleet is called Marder commandeered by Großflottenadmiral Gerhard Ridwink on his flagship the Dreadnought SWS Jacob Grimm. The 2nd fleet is called Luchs and is commandeered by Großadmiral Richard U. Kugler on the Dreadnought SWS Wilhelm Grimm. These are the first two Celle-class dreadnoughts outfitted with the Mauer V1 energy shield, capable to sustain significant amounts of damage from certain weapons, as well as specially developed missile and torpedo solutions since the energy consumption of the shield does not allow for the massive capital-ship-killer-weapons spinal-mounted on other capital class ships. These battle groups are, without a doubt, a most welcome support for the SDF-Alliance ambitions. We are witnessing the rise of a nation, thought long lost. And for the moment, we are thankful for it.
Attack on CredSec
Yet another cowardly attack was made on a CredSec vessel transporting important specialists and infrastructure developers and computer experts. This is an extremely hurtful loss since these kinds of specialists are the ones running and repairing the whole CredSec banking infrastructure in the sector. In this way we must consider this an attack not only on CredSec, who lost over 200 people in the incident, but on the people of the whole sector. If you needed another reason to join the SPL, there you have it. Consider what’s at stake, the infrastructure and wealth of all of us. If these terrorist attacks continue or even happen more often, it would be probable we could see symptoms of a vast system-collapse in the close future. The markets already reacted to the attack, with prices dropping and skyrocketing lastly seen after the destruction of Hua Doen…
Massive territorial gains
The SDF Alliance is making further progress in throwing back the enemy into the southern border areas. The west wing of the [CSM] offensive has been widely reconquered and the enemy has been pressured into submission without any break and room to breathe. Battle-reporters are telling stories of whole [CSM] fleets getting pounded and destroyed to the last vessel within hours. The new Hammerhead cruiser turns out to be one hell of a super-efficient asset in the wide and diverse military arsenal of the combined superpowers acting within the SDF. While the western front needs less and less assets and attention, the focus is being shift back to ex-[SHIF]-territories. A contingent of heavy vessels and infiltration craft from the [SHIF] 3rd capital fleet have initiated assault on Hua Doen, this is a strategical important step into the retaking of conquered systems, but also a significant statement to the people of the Shiguen Empire as well as a sign and showcase of unified strength to the rest of the sector.
Albeit these great successes, critiques raise voices on how long the SDF-Alliance will be able to hold up the pressure and speed in their counter-offensive, while struck by internal struggles like MF93 in the [USNE] area or liquidity problems at the Shigueni markets. For the time being, all is stable thanks to the massive infrastructure provided by CredSec and their respective partners.
Abandon ship
Washington! At 03:00 SST, 04.11.3893, a systemwide quarantine was declared in Washington after the death of late [USNE] President Mister Jimmy T. Ferguson, who died of the complications of a severe MF93 infection. His second in command, Lady Emmely Shawn, declared a system wide state of emergency, thus resulting in the evacuation of the most important government elements before the quarantine hit. Many voices have been raised about the spirit of abandoning the ship as its leader, but no statement was issued since by the [USNE] government.
We have got some intel from the planet surface as well as some radio chatter from around the now enclosed system. Seems people are desperate to leave the obviously hazardous planet. The quarantine is since been enforced with maximum violence to stop the pathogen from spreading further, which could have the potential to weaken the SDF alliance ambitions in the war against [CSM].
While the system is being patrolled by security forces, supported by CredSec, the planet is left to its demise it seems, pictures of riots and pillages reached our contacts. The people are desperate and afraid, and yet the measures taken by the government are important and right since they must look at the bigger picture and try to save the faction.
Judgment Day
The hammer has fallen. Arno Sillince, most known as the “Soul Reaper” has been officially, and (this time) without a doubt been convicted. Judge Turner Korbiec, leader of the judges committee, found the convicted guilty on all charges and faces 600 years in prison. The sentence will be dealt in the [USNE] ultra-high security prison on Tennamenth Station orbiting the black hole of the BBX 9-9041 system. Any errors are completely out of the question. This will be the Soul Reapers final rest.
Something is very wrong
[ORCA] space, last week (local time). A draft of light cruisers controlling the border space to the unsecured Hela-System vanished shortly after embarking on the far side transit of the system being in the stars shadow for mere minutes, before lost. Some rumours made it out of the disturbed [ORCA] territory speaking of unknown ships in the area. Fact is that CredSec remains silent even, after setting up yet again a NSFW-zone in said system. While stories of an alien invasion are most likely completely made up and dull, one must wonder, what is going wrong in the far north of the sector.
[USNE] MilTec stomping out
[USNE] MilTec scientists and engineers developed a new set of infantry and spacemen weaponry as well as super-efficient and modular armour. These items are built by Old West Arms [OWA] descendant Texas Relentless Arms [TRA], a fresh military contractor group under the ex-MilTec Col. Garry Snyder from Kansas. These are being presented in the upcoming future, while being shipped already to the front, as it is something sold exclusively to the SDF-Alliance.
Quantum leap in communication devices ahead
Prof. Dr. Audrey Milanés’ thesis about her theorised “Choris Orion” particle have found a valiant enabler in Mr. Kenson, tech billionaire and rising star at the [ORCA] elite firmament. He financed a full RND facility at an undisclosed location and is officially recruiting major science talent for this project, albeit the critical voices from around the sector doubting the professors’ findings. He stated if this turned out true and usable, it would revolutionize the way we could communicate with each other as well as open a way for completely new tactical possibilities.
Reaver activity spiking
Maybe, because so much of the actual forces of the sector are bound elsewhere, the Reaver pirate syndicate has their raids multiplied in frequency and intensity. And they are out to not just get “gold and treasure”, but flesh. A never-before-seen number of illegal human trafficking is taking place, making save passage throughout the sector extremely difficult. The prices for public transportation, as well as contracts of privateers and mercenaries, which provide much needed security, while the military forces are bound in the south, are skyrocketing. With the unified law approaching with huge steps, CredSec is bound to get a hold of things eventually, but they are simply not yet staffed out enough. This is why we as well urge you to think about the question of joining the newly formed Sector Police and Law – SPL.
TAS – Yacht raided
Local news from Sol Secundae told our sources of a dedicated TAS-yacht, named “TASS Conundrum”, which was doing the Golden Band Race tourist tour when it was for unknown reasons raided by a raid party of reavers. From the about 170 people aboard, just a handful survived the encounter, telling how the pirates were ordering the crew to release all Nissin packages aboard, which was weirdly specific. When assured the transit ship had no trade-wares aboard, other then the food and technical stuff for travelling, the pirates went rampage on them and their guests, killing almost everyone on the ship.
Yet another ruin found
A non-human structure has been found in Theben, floating adrift inactive as it seems. Scientists and explorers haven’t been able to enter the structure, nor define from which material it is made. It is, like the wreckage in Eden, a significant discovery questioning humanities place in the universe and answers the question about whether we are alone or not.
Jayne Cobb`s new page-turner
The new book of Jayne Cobb, elite of the sector artists community as well as writer extraordinaire, “I`ll be in my bunk” is a work of fiction telling the story of the young and wild Cpt. Rodney Swinger aboard his privateer vessel “Letmehitthee”. It is an homage to the travellers out there and depicts the often-difficult relations between men and women aboard the same craft. While in some cases women seem to run a faulty on-board-economy, it is very rare to find a ship without unrestrained sexism and chauvinism aboard. This book is a page-turner like no Cobb before. It is also, in decades the first book completely released in physical form printed on paper, and NOT available digitally.
The Pope is dead - long live the Pope
Last week we got the message, Pope Benedict left these earthly demises and went on to meet his maker. The whole of [ACO] is currently grieving, while awaiting the start of the conclave to establish the new head of the church in god’s name. There are many probable candidates, while just a handful are realistic choices, regarding to their portfolio and their popularity.
The conclave will start at the 15.12.3893 and will not end before a new Pontifex has been declared. Meanwhile the masses will anxiously watch the live-presentation of the ancient ritual of a small chimney releasing either black smoke if the vote has not succeeded or white smoke if a new pope has been successfully voted for.
