The decision to initiate mining fell after even surface prospecter-scans confirmed previously unexplored huge ore deposits containing iron, Wolfram, copper and zinc among others. The operation was officially launched by the independent prospector and miner “Steinbruch AG”. The endeavour takes place amidst the “Bologne asteroid belt” which is a problematic location since pirate activity has spiked in the bordering systems for some time now. This is probably why major investors seem not to be interested (at least publicly) in this.
Word is, “Steinbruch” would be on the look out for professionals who will deal with the threat looming the area. Maybe then, the big boys will be on board, which would drastically speed up the resource mining process.

I gotta admit, I am totally in love with the idea of spacewhales, you guys. And here is why;
First of all, in times like this we all need a little bit of wonder and humility 😌 . And what better to leave us in awe then spacewhales? seriously, consider this before you think “this girl is literally crazy”, whales have been the gentle giants of the depths like forever, even back on earth. Really, I looked into it. Ever heard a whale sing? Its literally magical. You will find a soundfile here where you can get an idea, though there is much more floating the SecNet to be amazed by. All my friends were initially thinking I had lost my mind, but right now actually all of them are agreeing to support the motion of spacewhales becoming a reality.
Secondly, whales have, from the beginning of time itself I guess been wanderers. And we are pretty much alike in this since we as travellers are also wanderers of the great voids and dephts of the universe and we could definitively need a big shoulder to lean on every once in a while. To let us know we are not alone. Spacewhales could provide that shoulder. I am literally so sure they could.
Also sources say if you do not believe in spacewhales, or do not support them becoming a reallity (if they are not already), you might actually be part of the bigger problem named “whalephobia”. People being whalephobic are literally the worst and we should not allow them to piss on our dreams 😡 .
